Thanksgiving Lesson Plan

Hi There,

I just wanted to pop in to share what we've been doing during the month of November with you!  This post contains a FREE LESSON PLAN with FREE Turkey Task Cards as well as affiliate links.  Here are a few of the books we read:

We've been practicing basic skills using Thanksgiving themed pages from my Thanksgiving Packet which has both ELA & Math as well as opportunities for cutting and gluing:

We've also been using a variety of Thanksgiving themed file folder games learning skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, spatial concepts, etc.  To check out my Thanksgiving File Folder Games click here.

As you may know; I am itinerant so I carry a bag.  Actually several bags! =0)  One is for work like papers; file folder games; and crafts.  Another is for my seasonal toys.  And the 3rd is for the favorite toys of some of my students may melt down if I don't have them.

Here is one of my favorite finds for the month of November.  It's these peacocks that I am passing off to my students as turkeys.  They look like turkeys, right?  I made some task cards to go with them which I am sharing with you in the lesson plan for free.  My students range in age from 3 years old to 5 years old and their abilities range.  For some students; I just let them practice putting the pegs into one or more turkeys however they can do it.  For my students that require more of a challenge we use some or all of the cards.  It really just depends on their skill level and their stamina for work.

The turkeys are my favorite; but there's more.  Be sure to click around on the picture schedule included in the download for affiliate links to more of the Fall/Thanksgiving toys that I am using this month with my kiddos!  Download the FREE LESSON PLAN & TASK CARDS HERE.  Thanks for taking the time to read my post & thanks for stopping by!
