      Valentine's Day is this week and I thought I'd share what I planned for my kiddos in community.  We're reading There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose by Lucille Colandro.  We're also practicing matching letter to initial sounds and rhyming words:

Hi!,
      I am just popping in to share with you some of the fun activities that I have planned for this week in community.  I am still following the picture schedule that I've shared in previous posts.  We're reading Love Monster by Rachel Bright which is a cute little story about a lonely monster who finally found love.  We follow up with a monster themed color matching file folder game.  We're also going to practice letter to initial sounds matching with a monster love letter themed ELA center.  For our numbers activity we will practice counting out up to 20 objects using Valentine Monster 10 frames and Valentine Monster erasers.  Finally, we will use bingo markers to paint a Valentine Monster coloring page which is included in this lesson plan for FREE.  Here are photos.  Click on any of the photos to find the item in my TpT store:
