Hi All,
      Boy has this been a busy week!  Christmas activities, IEP's, meetings after work, running with my own kids, the list goes on, and the week isn't quite done yet!  Here's a little of what we've been up to in the classroom:

      I've been laminating the collage page of my letter of the week journal to use with manipulatives.  It just puts a different spin on things.  And I can't say enough about Cookies for Santa, my students loved it!  Me too! ;0)

      We've been practicing our counting using these Christmas 10 Frames.  You can get them FREE in my TPT store.  But don't go yet because that's last week's freebie!

We've been crafting up a storm!  We did the paper plate wreath, the hand print Rudolph, photos, Christmas cards, you name it, we did it!  Here's one of my favorites:

I saw it floating around on Pinterest and I wanted to try it.  I added the scarf as a little something extra.  The kids got to practice their snipping.  I've kind of been using this week as my last effort to squeeze in every cute Christmas craft or activity from Pinterest that I hadn't tried yet. ;0)

Here's one, it's different from the pin but the idea is still there.  Put together some Christmas themed items for the kids to explore.  It was called a sensory tub.  I made it a busy basket.  It had ornaments (snowflakes, candy canes, plastic bulbs), ribbon, chenille sticks, a stuffed elf, and a toy Santa.

I gave it a home by making a label for it and tucking it away neatly on the shelf.

      We've been having a great time this week.  One of my favorite lessons is Cookies for Santa.  My students respond so well to it that we pretty much use it every day!  Here are photos:
You can set yours up however you want.  I chose to attach the big mouth Santa (included in the download) to a plastic container and a little strip of magnetic tape on the back of each cookie so they stay in place when I hold up the cookie sheet.

In a small group I have the students take turns putting the cookies in Santa's mouth as we read the story.  We all love it.  We're building our stamina to sit and listen to a story, we're practicing our colors/color words, and we're taking turns!  There's more in this download.  Click the cover below to view this item in my TpT store to see what all you get:

      I just wanted to share photos from my Christmas Song Book.  We've been having a good time with this.
      We've been using our song book after recess.  So far we're singing Jingle Bells.  I put the Jingle Bell page is on my easel as a visual aid and I pass out jingle bells for my students to use when we sing.  They have fun jingling the bells.  I sent the student copy of the Jingle Bells page from the song book home in the homework packet for students to practice daily with their parents.  Here are photos:

Hi All,
     I've just finished the cutest unit for Christmas!  It features the letters S for Santa, R for reindeer, E for elf, and C for Christmas tree and candy cane!  It has both centers and printables!  Keep the centers up all December.  They should fit right in with whatever you're doing!  With clip art by Little Red, this unit is just dripping with cute!  I also included Elf on the Shelf positional words and letter to initial sound matching.  Here are a few pictures:
