Mother's Day Lesson Plan {Distance Learning}

      I hope that this post finds you well and in good spirits!  And I hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!  I thought I'd share what we did in our Zoom Circle Time as well as what I posted in my Google Classroom last week.

      Of course as always; I followed my picture schedule:
      For the story we read I Love You Stinky Face by Lisa Mccourt.
      For Morning Message I modeled writing uppercase and lowercase Mm.  M was our letter of the week and of course it was for Mother! =0)
      After modeling how to write the letter of the week and discussing it's phonetic sound; students take turns  answering the  question, "Does this begin with the letter Mm?"  I have items that both begin and DO NOT begin with the letter M.
      Next was the number of the week.  This week's number was 13.  We counted out 13 markers because marker begins with M!
      For number 2 I shared my screen with the class; taking them over to Boom Learning.  I made some Farm Animal Mothers and Babies Boom Cards.  The objective was to get the students to choose the correct mama for each baby.  I am unable to share the Boom Cards because of the artist's terms of use but I did make an equivalent File Folder Game which will be FREE in my store this week only.  You can click on the photo to download it from my TpT store:
      And as always (since the stay at home order); number 1 is the HOUSE and its where I remind families to check the Google Classroom for follow up activities.  In addition to the number and letter of the week packets; I post a themed 'At Home Learning Packet' that reinforces the skills we've worked on.  This week was a Mother's Day theme:
      Here's the Lesson Plan:

      Well, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post and thanks for stopping by!

God Bless,
